For my daughter Kate on her 30th birthday, I decided to create a watercolor portrait of her daughter. I used a photo reference that husband Kyle had taken as he just tucked Leighton in for the evening (nap).

This preliminary drawing was accepted for the upcoming art show & silent auction. HSN has teamed with some 30 local artists for Monday evening, October 19th. The event begins at 5:30 pm and will be held at the Duncan McClellan Gallery in St. Petersburg, FL. The Theme for this event is, "Wherever you go, go with all your heart." Proceeds for the auctioned pieces will help support the American Heart Association. I'm honored to be involved with such an important cause.

Sarajo's portrait

I originally posted this last year, I just got around to getting another blog site and decided to re-post it. Here are my friends, John Sawvel & his lovely spouse Sarajo, with the framed portrait of Sarajo over the mantle. (Nice frame btw) I did this a little while back, it was a belated wedding gift. Illustrated tile wall

I was asked to create an illustration of an early colonial Spanish woman & child including several artifacts. This color illustration would be reproduced as wall tiles for a remodeling project within the Arts District of St. Augustine, FL. Here are images of the installed wall tiles.
