PROFILE

Kevin Thomas (b. 1956) is an American artist known for his drawing and painting skills across various styles and mediums. Raised in Anderson, South Carolina, he was influenced by diverse southern cultures and art forms. His work transcends boundaries and defies categorization while showcasing a strong understanding of natural beauty by blending classic and modern techniques. Inspired by people and everyday life, he aims to capture their complexity and aesthetics, promoting a positive sense of ones self and stewardship. In addition to his art, Thomas is dedicated to helping others develop their creativity, mentoring many aspiring artists. Based in Florida, he is currently focusing on creating new projects.

EXPERIENCE

With decades of experience as a fine artist, illustrator, and designer, working within public relations, advertising agencies, design firms, architectural firms, universities, museums, and galleries. I handle the entire process from initial sketches to delivery of the final art. Creating original works of art for collectors interested in representational fine art, illustrations, and designs for historical projects, family heirlooms, as well as personal keepsakes. Have various commissioned works throughout museum exhibits, universities, and galleries. Most of my work is contemporary, often themed, and includes hand-drawn or painted stylized figures, but not exclusively. Work is available within a myriad of mediums that may be adapted into a preferred or an already established style.

Specializing in art projects that are grand in scope and devised predominately within large scale formats. These art pieces typically consist of varied representational subjects, such as: Historically accurate renderings of natural landscapes, seascapes, wildlife, individual and group portraiture, murals and dioramas, architectural renderings, as well as designs for cover art- multi-image illustration/graphic/collage for magazine/newspaper editorials and or special presentations. Artwork available in mediums created by traditional methods and or digitally. Have held positions as Senior Artist, Senior Illustrator, Master Painter, Senior Designer, Art Editor, Art Director and Creative Art Director.
